All animals eventually grow old and die. It's an inevitable fact of life - except when it isn't. Some animals, like tortoises and lobsters, never grow old, and learning their secrets could let humans live as long as they want.

For most animals, there are three basic ways they can die: disease, injury, or old age, which is also called senescence. But a select few species are seemingly immune from aging itself, a phenomenon known as negligible senescence. The gradual accumulation of cellular damage and degradation that will eventually kill other animals (including us) slows to a virtual standstill, prolonging the life - and, in fact, the youth - of any animal lucky enough to be negligibly senescent.

Dealing with the Media - Strigoi Vii Agents

The Sanguinarium and Strigoi Vii have a very specific approach which is in accordance with the Secrets Principle of the Black Veil.  This agenda is specifically designed to practice The Quest, whilst promote Our Mystery and re-enforce Our Glamour.

Within The Family it is wise to focus on your own Zhep’r and leave the job of press contact for the Family to those chosen to be Agents.  These are specifically trained and approved individuals by the Synod who act as media contacts for the Family.  

We prefer to do media interviews which are in print or radio over television.  Here we can focus on the Mystery and the common sense principle of always encouraging individuals to read the Sanguinomicon before going any further. 

The Black Veil is Our Pillar and Shield, the tool which allows Us to move freely in the public world without causing fear and respecting the realities of mortal life as a Living Vampire. 

So it is wise to leave the press and media to Agents.  They know what they are doing and have taken the responsibility to handle media with honor and loyalty.  These individuals are putting themselves at risk, setting up the tools and broadcasting our existence without violating the Veil.

Are The Strigoi Vii Elitist?

So many people state Strigoi Vii are elitist.  Well of course we are!  We have standards and raise the bar to continually challenge the evolution of Our Family and Individuals.  This is no different from the elitism of Ivy League Universities of Harvard, Columbia, Princeton, Oxford and Yale?

We strive to be beautiful, powerful, educated, mysterious, sensual, self-sufficient and unique.  

We are NOT apart of the “vampire community” and since we have left that world of blood drinkers and psychic vampires our movement have only strengthened.  We continue to focus on exploring, preserving and evolving Our Mysteries has only become the forefront of our collective agenda.

To initiate into Strigoi Vii properly you must first have a solid Dayside, otherwise True exploration of the Nightside will simply be lost to you.

We are not kids living in their grandma’s basement or the multitude of “vampire elders” who cannot even hold a job or support their Family and go online begging for donations.  Our Family has a business end to cover our dayside expenses, which is obviously required in this real world environment.  

What we are is a dynamic international Family of individuals seeking personal evolution, united by the Quest of Immortality in Love & Loyalty.

We are not kids rebelling against and hating our birth families.  In fact most of us have excellent, healthy and loving relationships with our parents, children and families.

We know the difference between reality and fantasy. 

We are not cannibals, racists or claiming some illness.  What I love about Strigoi Vii is that We just cannot avoid loving life, even when it is on the low, there live in an amazing age of opportunity, pleasure and freedom.

So yes we are elitist.  We love Ourselves and Our Family.  We are selective on who we bring into our circle and who we associate with.  Shouldn't you choose and only invite the best people into your home?  If you judge Us for this, then that is your own problem, We continue to move into Our own introverted world of pleasure, power, wealth, love, loyalty, health and of course Immortality.

Old and New School Initiation

The “Old School” reflects pre-Sanguinarium initiation into the Mysteries of Strigoi Vii. This is when our ancestors, the Strigoi Morte would personally pick their students and independently instruct them in the Mysteries on a one on one basis.  A few scattered individual ancestors continue to teach this way, however it is almost always with a one on one approach, many consider this the cause for the ronin.

The “New School” rose after several experiments the Strigoi Morte finally decided to inspire the Sanguinarium, the international movement based upon a new set of principles which would rise to be known as the Black Veil. At the core of this movement is the Ordo Strigoi Vii (OSV), which teaches the "Inner Mysteries." The rise of the internet was the perfect forum to foster this new Covenant / Pakt with the Family and to seek out new potentials through the Quest of Family.

For I am in between old and new school experiences, however it is an absolute honor to meet and discuss with my sorors and fraters in the corporeal world.  For that I thank the Ancestors and Ancients.

Coming out of the Coffin

The very term “Coming Out of the Coffin” is a term coined by Father Sebastiaan during the days at MOTHER and Long Black Veil in New York City.  This term reflects being open about one’s nature to friends, family and publicly, however, few True Vampyres have this luxury. The vast majority of Strigoi Vii initiates and ronin wish to keep their private lives private and their identities confidential as to not alert their potential sources of prana to who and what their intentions are.  This is of course afforded to them with the Principle of Secrets from the Black Veil as directed by the Ancients.

With the recent “vampire craze” life has become easier and in a stronger direction towards openness with the mortal minded. Many of us can reveal our true natures and come out of the coffin in most situations.  There are growing numbers of mortals who love vampires in every way today and mimic them throughout the year especially on Halloween.  The era of fearing the predator is over and now today we live in a symbiotic and loving relationship.

I have personally heard many Vampyres state that the entire horde of literature, books, novels, fiction, entertainment and cinema were apart of some propaganda centered grand plan of the Ancients. Of course, this is the obvious answer to the educated Vampyre.  What is not known to the mortal world is that their gods have been orcistraiting this agenda in different forms over the ages and our generation of Living Vampires can now benefit from centuries of planning to when, today we can go on talk shows and tell our mortals who and what we are.

However, this is still only an option for a select few of the Family who are Out of the Coffin.  We must honorably respect Our True Nature in that we are still evolved noble predators and hold up this respect for all other members of the Family who still choose to embrace this old tradition.

Father Sebastiaan sets a good example of how to live Out of the Coffin, his family, colleagues, friends and lovers all know who and what he is.  He has nothing to hide and lives openly running businesses catering to the mortal fascination with Our Glamour.  This veiled yet very open life of being a fangsmith, author and event coordinator through SABRETOOTH and Endless Nights is a world around him.  Event many religious nuts have been seduced by his admiration, respect and love for their gods but at the same time saying he doesn’t believe in anything.

For those of Us who do not have this luxury, here are a few steps we of the Synod offer you to protect your privacy and remain in the Coffin.

First - offer no explanation. Your spirituality and religion are your business and make this known. Most Western countries have freedom of religion and you are protected by this mortal law. Keep people guessing and if they ask questions simple tell them to read Sanguinomicon.

Second - if you encounter a religious nut, don't debate with them or make any attempt to do so. Let them ramble, protest and get all insane.  Tell them you are not interested in discussing the subject and listen until you had enough and simply walk away. You know the truth and let that satisfy yourself.

Third - don't make a fool of yourself and wear your fangs, dress in gothic attire and broadcast your "Glamour" when amongst mortals. You can be subtle like keeping your Legacy Ankh under your shirt and discretely wearing your ring. When in areas such as the centers of large cities or during Halloween you usually have more flexibility in your outward expression.  We should remain hidden amongst the mortal population. Let common sense guide you in this, as the True Vampyre rides on the concept of rationality.

The True Vampyre embraces their Sobriquet and their personal Glamour.  You owe no explanations to mortals about who and what you are.  It is none of their business.  Uphold the Veil, do not involve minors, never break the law and don’t drink human blood and that is your sword, shield and pillar.  Most humans do not believe in True Vampyres and encourage this, when asked by a mortal "do you believe in vampires?"  I say "of course not." For both of us I am telling the truth.

Currently I have the great honor of being newly appointed The Grande Magister of the Sanguinarium Ordo Strigoi Vii and administrator of the http://www.currentofelorath.com the official Strigoi Vii Forums, recently taking this title as Father Sebastiaan has moved to focus on his writing projects.  Please note Strigoi Vii is my life, my spirituality, my personal philosophy and my True nature.


Yes, if you wish to use the term, I am a fundamentalist Vampyre. Yet respect the ability for other religions and traditions to exist with a sinister purpose.  Still I will disagree privately, politely and discretely with the dogmas of mortal religions.


There are many claiming to be Vampyre or vampire in this world.  Many think I am a blood drinker or psychic vampire, this is incorrect, I AM a Living Vampire.  Blood drinkers in all honesty completely concern me, traditional psychic vampires avoid me as I will not tolerate their presence in my life.   Since they are, at least in my reality not True to Vampyrism and its noble existence.  Forget trying to convert me or change my views. You will be simply ignored, there is no changing who and what I am.


I Think VAMPYRE! Think Immortal Minded! Think Eternity without dying or disease and all about love, health, food, power, romance, mystery, sensuality, wealth, music, dance, knowledge and pleasure!
